Cosplay plans for 2014 [So far]

I have been cleaning the entire house today together with my mom and I can't start my Riza cosplay before mom has finished cleaning her part, and she will probably be like "I just cleaned! Do you really have to do that now?" so I might wait until tomorrow when she's at work. So I decided to write some kind of Cosplay plans for 2014 so far. And this might change as new series and shit comes up but whatever, I just want to write something cosplay related.

I shall start with the cosplays I'm sure with who I want to do. 

So first up we have Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist.

I was originally going to do this cosplay last year but then I pushed that aside to do Hanji for a group project together with my fellow NoOwners, and shortly after I was done with Hanji my sewing machine broke so I didn't have a sewing machine for around 2 months. But enough of that, so I have the fabric and patterns all ready for this and I plan to be done with it sometime in February. I have the shoes ready and I plan on using my real hair.

Helena Douglas from Dead or Alive series (5 Version).

So this is a cosplay I have been willing to do for some time now. It all started with me and a couple of friends playing Dead or Alive 5 and I was playing as Helena and suddenly my friend burst out that we look alike and after that I was like "Yeah we kinda do" and then I started playing as her more and became quite skilled in using her and ranked pretty good with her in online battles and I really liked her fighting style and back-story. I don't think I will start this cosplay directly after Riza tough, I'll probably do something else in between and start Helena sometime between May-August.

Rin Matsuoka from Free!

TheNoOwners next group project and we are planing on being done with this in July. Maybe we have such luck that we manage to time it so well that the second season has started airing by then. So this is a cosplay I probably will buy and not make. I have already ordered the wig and I might order the costume sometimes in February-March.

Green from Pokémon Orgins

This is kind of a group project together with Jion as Red and Sacrow as Team Rocket grunt(?) we will probably make this but it's not smashed in stone yet I think? But it would be really awesome!

So that's all Cosplays I'm sure of now let's move in to those I know the series but unsure of what Character to do.

Disney

Ok so I have always loved Disney and it has a special place in my heart. So of course I would really love to do a disney cosplay! But I have the huge problem of choosing what character to do. As we all know there is over 1000 disney characters out there and to nail it down to just one is really hard. But I have told myself that this year I'm going to at least decide witch character I want to do and hopefully start it before the year is over.

Raven / Starfire from Teen Titans

So a lot of my friends know how I recently got in to Teen Titans and good i'm so obsessed with that show, and I decided pretty fast that I want to do a cosplay from it but I seriously don't know who of these two I wanna do. I really like them both in there own way and I'm starting to grow crazy over that I can't decide so I might just end up making them both x'D

X-men

Yep, I'm a sucker for superhero shows and X-men has always been one of my favorites. I loved the 90's cartoon witch aired on Fox Kids when I was young (who can forget that freaking INTRO!?) and holy shit I was glued to the television every time it was on. I recently downloaded it to re-watch it now when I was older and it still was soooooooooo good! So I definitely want to a cosplay from this but once again, who the heck am I going to do? :'s

And last we are moving on to those Cosplays I may do but are still unsure if I can pull it of/want to. 

Angewomon from Digimon

Holy my childhood. The Tailmon (Gatomon in the dub) evolution line was always my favorite. If we look at the Child to Ultimate (Rookie-Mega in the dub) forms and just talk about that. First it's a cute doggy (my second favorite pet) then it becomes a kitty cat (favorite pet) after that a freaking beautiful angel and last a freaking badass dog-looking dragon (DRAGON!! fav mythical creature.) What is not to love about that? I loved Tailmon dearly when I was younger and Angewomon is absolutely stunning. This is certainly a dream cosplay of mine but I don't know if I could pull it of.. Because it's such a dream cosplay for me I really want it to be good and I'm not sure if I could pull that of in my current state :/ 

Ren from Dramatical Murder

Okey, so we have talked about making this a group project for TheNoOwners. I was a little skeptical first but then we talked about LED and shit and I tough WOW this might be really cool! So I got a bit carried away and such. So to do character research I fixed the game but I got so bored playing it so I went up looking walktrough videos instead. And sure it seems really cool and all but I can't get a connection to the game/character/s. And for me I really wanna feel a connection to the character I'm going to do in some way and I just don't feel that. But yeah, I might do it for the sake of the team anyway :'3

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica

I would really love to do a cosplay from this show because I think the designs are really cool and I'm a sucker for Mahou Shoujo. I have two problems tough. 1. I don't know what character to do. 2. Will I be able to pull it off and make the character designs justice? Because let's face it, the clothing design are extremely detailed and it will take a lot of time to make. But once again I would love to do it.

Bonus: Costumes I'm going to remake

Sailor Venus from Sailor Moon

I was originally going to stop cosplaying her totally but I stumbled across some videos on youtube about Sailor Moon cosplaying and I thought to myself "Deep down I really like Sailor Venus as a character and the reason why I actually didn't want to do her anymore was because I didn't feel I made the character justice and to be fair I don't like how my costume came out". So I will redo this whole costume from scratch again and hopefully it will feel better, I mean Sailor Venus was the first cosplay I made and I obviously didn't know anything about how to make cosplays and just threw myself out there and just did it. So of course it has flaws, so if i remake it from scratch with my new knowledge and all I think it will turn out much better then before, hopefully :'3
